Shepody Days 2017

2017 Wrapup

Shepody Days Charity Paddle took place on Sunday, July 9th with 6 strong teams competing.  The races were very exciting with several close finishes and two ties. There was a bit of a breeze on the river creating some wave action, resulting in some steering challenges and a little bumping at the stuffy drop.  At the end of the day, the Alma Pumpers sponsored by the Chipoudy Communities Revitalization Committee pulled off the win, their first since 2013.  Congratulations Pumpers!

The River Drivers sponsored by Albert County Funeral Home came in 2nd place and the Lightning Bolts sponsored by Crooked Creek Convenience placed 3rd.   The consultation round was won by The Forest Dale Flyers who missed qualifying for the winner’s heat by only 3 seconds.

Crooked Creek Adventures would like to thank the Paddlers, their sponsors, event volunteers and of course the spectators for making this day happen!
